Installation protection and joints
The implementation of fire protection for installation culverts and linear joints is the most important and difficult stage of the passive fire protection project. Properly designed linear joints, also known as expansion joints, enable the work of individual parts of the building and eliminate the risk of stress and cracks. In turn, installation culverts are places where installations pass between designated fire zones, which define fire separations, i.e. walls or ceilings. Their role in fire conditions is crucial – they are designed to prevent the spread of fire and high temperatures.
Only when installation culverts and expansion joints are made professionally can the owner of the building guarantee its safety.
